 Shocked Shocked Shocked
Horses legs and hooves are a sensitive area and vital to their health.  The horse's anatomy (structure) of it's legs and hooves play a big part too.  For example, if the horse has a toe-in (front hooves turned into each other) it may be difficult to keep this type of problem in check.  In other words, the horse may have to be trimmed and shod differently to keep it in balance for riding.

Farriers cannot fix some confirmation problems with legs and hooves, but can try to balance the hooves out to match the proportion of the legs.  Soft hooves is a problem also, but there are some remedies one can try to sustain a viable hoof.  Feeding biotin supplement is one and a farrier who trims properly is another (proper trimming is vital to hoof health).

Keeping the legs in shape by wrapping (only when necessary) and applying ointment and linament helps after a workout.  Learning how to wrap properly is vital to the health of the legs.  You can hurt yoru horse by wrapping too tightly or loosely!  Properly cooling the horse down is also necessary after riding.  Google search these topics and get the best information on your horses legs and hooves.

Ultimately, it is your responsibility as a horse owner to educate yourself and do the right things at the right times.  Do not skip a stride for your horses sake.

Post leg and hoof issues here!
