When considering a farrier, look for their knowlege base first.  Are they knowlegable of horse behavior and horse anatomy as well as their profession?

If you have questions, does the farrier answer them all with complete information?  Is he/she friendly, timely and respectful to you and the horse?

Just because a farrier is a friend of a friend, a long time farrier of yours or is "cute" is not a reason to keep a farrier unless they meet your criteria.

Post your experiences with farriers here, good and bad!
